    • Son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Williams. of Masterton. (Incorrectly spelt as T. Williams on Commonwealth War Graves Commission website.

      Promoted Sergeant, 16 January 1915.
      Rank of Sergeant in Main Body confirmed, Anzac Cove, 18 June 1915.
      Killed in action, 8 August 1915. AWMM
    • Arthur Charles WILLIAMS (1883-1915) was the son of Joseph WILLIAMS (1849-1924) and his first wife Fanny Jane DIXON, who was born in Masterton on 21 Aug 1858 and who died in Masterton on 9 Dec 1885.
      Fanny Jane was the second youngest of 14 children of Masterton pioneers Charles DIXON and wife Mary (nee KIRTON).
      Masterton's first Mayor R. G. WILLIAMS was Arthur's uncle.

      Arthur Charles DIXON was born on 17 Dec 1883 in Masterton as the 4th child (2nd son) and he was not quiet 2 years old when his mother died.
      Arthur Charles distinguished himself as excellent athlete and Capt. of the Masterton Hockey team.
