  • "Left with the Wellington Battalion, Main Expeditionary Force, and after service in Egypt, and taking part in the landing on Gallipoli, was sent back to Alexandria with a severe wound in the shoulder. He returned to the front, but eventually died of dysentery after a week's illness. He was a Prefect in the first term of 1912, and a member of the Shooting Eight in 1910 and 1911."
