    \Second-Lieutenant S. W. Ball, who is reported to have been killed in Action. was the husband of Mr. H. C. M Ball, of 10 Duke street, Mount Roskill, Auckland. He was aged 29 and was educated at the Gisborne Central School and the Gisborne High School. He left New Zealand in July, 1943. alter serving for some years in the Territorial Forces.
