Lindsay Brown was my grandmother's first husband. Ivy Leonora Nelson then Brown, then Hocking. They had a son William Brown born posthumously. He was adopted by Ivy's parent's and became Bill Nelson, from Palmerston north. Bill was my father's half brother, James Nelson Hocking, and after adoption, became Dad's uncle. Lest we forget.
