  • Son of John Arthur and Vida Maude Brown of Rotorua.

    On the 16th of May 1943, Flying Officer Brown was shot down by enemy flak, over the English Chanell approximately 8 milkes off the French coast. Flying Officer Brown was baled out of the aircraft, the Squadron radioed a 'mayday' at 0644. But Flying Officer Brown was lost and not seen again.
