    • David Bradly was the son of David and Edith Bradly, of Helensville, Auckland, New Zealand. AWMM
    • Ted was the eldest of three children, with a younger brother Ralph (who drowned in the Kaipara River about the same time that Ted went to Africa) and a younger sister, Clare Ellen Bradly. Clare married Hector Aitkenhead in Helensville and lived there until two years before her death in 2015. Ted was born 13th October 1921 and was working for the Dwerryhouse Butchers, as a butcher, before enlisting. He used to deliver the meat to his mother's tearooms in Helensville, among other jobs. His father David was a blacksmith at the Bradly Brothers' Garage, his mother owned and ran the Tearooms for many years. Whilst the tearooms mostly served the Helensville residents, there were also American soldiers in an encampment in Parakai, who used to frequent the tearooms. Edith evidently always had a soft spot for them and made them very welcome. Public - Shona - Other Relative - 11 April 2015 - family history
