  • Son of Gerald and Gertrude de Bathe Brandon, of Mount Eden, Auckland,

    Attended King's College (1932-35) where he was a member of Town House. He left to study science at Auckland University. Entering Army Camp the day war was declared, he served with the Artillery in Fiji and later in Syria and Libya.

    He was killed at Mersa Matruh. AWMM
