    Husband of Lily Valiera Vause (nee Smith), married 1915.

    Before the war, he taught in Auckland, then married and moved to Cambridge. On return from the war he taught at Marakaika and became headmaster at Turua and Eltham.

    Wounded, possibly at the Somme, sent to UK to recuperate, then back to the Front.

    Medals, notebooks and other assorted items are held at Queen Elizabeth II Army Museum, Waiouru.

    Attended Auckland University College (now the University of Auckland). AWMM
