On the facing page the following verses appear:

'He heard the call of Empire,

    And in the fighting fell,

This thought our grief shall lighten,

    He served his country well.

Do not grieve for those who leave you,

They're not lost but gone before,

    Joyfully to give you welcome

When you reach the Heavenly shore.' AWMM
