  • Son of Daniel Bruce and Sarah Anderson (McFarlane)

    Daniel Bruce marched into Sling Camp on 26 September 1917. He left England for France on 26 October 1917, and marched into Etaples Camp on 29 October 1917.

    On 8 November 1917, he was attached to [sgth. 4th Bde], before joining No. 7 Company, 3rd Brigade, Wellington Infantry Regiment in the field on 8 November 1917.

    Family record he died at Polygon Wood

    A memorial plaque (26 January 1922) and scroll (28 February 1921) were sent to his family after the war.
