  • Freddie Gordon served with 74 Squadron during the summer of 1918. He was credited with nine victories, seven over aircraft and two over balloons.

    His Commanding Officer, Major K. 'Grid' Caldwell became his brother-in-law when his sister married Caldwell.

    Honoured with rank as Honorary Flying Lieutenant in WW2

    Attained rank of Lieutenant in RFC 13 November 1917. Service number not known for WW2 24904 is possibly a RAF number AWMM
