  • Dear Great Uncle Ian, Thank you so much for giving your life so that your precious family and your country can live in peace. Your sister Bernice was my Nana, and talked a lot about how wonderful you were and missed you greatly. She said you had a cheeky sense of humor and loved your camping adventures on the buggy with Judy. I have many photos of you as a child and and just wish I had been able to meet you. Your family are all thinking about you on ANZAC day and love you very much always. We hope to visit you at your grave in Germany one day. Thank you for giving your life for us, may you rest in peace. Lots of Love, Amanda, Acacia, Theo and Lucy xxxx
