  • R.A. Marshall is listed in the New Zealand Herald dated 8 September 1943 as missing on operations. In the same newspaper on 14 April 1944 he is listed as 'presumed dead'. Reference could also be made to the Herald dated 20 April 1944, 7A.

    In 1998 Marco Scuderi and Rosario Scuderi photographed the Catania War Cemetery in Sicily including the entrance and plaques, cross of sacrifice, views of the cemetery and the headstone of this serviceman. AWMM
