    Listed by National Archives NZ as FULJAMES, Harris John Foljambe - [a.k.a. FOLJAMBE, Harris John] - WW1 22962 - Army. Harry Fuljames served as H J Foljambe. He is listed with the incorrect spelling, as HJF Fuljames on the Auckland War Memorial Museum Memorial. A copy of the diary of J.A. Monstedt, Regimental No. 24030, who travelled with the 13th Reinforcements on board the Willochra is held in the Museum Library Archives. It gives details of the trip via Australia to Britain and then his service in France.

    There is further information on the Fulljames family in a file which is kept in the Auckland Museum Library Archives. Within this file is information on the family pedigree as well as another family member. David Owen Fulljames (NX 32218) served with the Australian Army during the Second World War, going missing in Malaya. He is the son of Edward Vincent and Emma Jessie Fulljames of Rotorua, born in 1916. AWMM

  • Harris served with my grandfather in 3rd NZMGC at Messines (Archiblad McLean no 20554).
    I have used Harris published letters to help build a picture of the company's movement from when my grandfather joined the company (20/5/17) until he was wounded on 8/7/17. Trying to find location of the camp they were at prior to the battle, known as Connaught Road Camp. Based on Harris's diary it appears to have been about 5 miles behind the lines.
