      Three sons served in WW2 : Nicholas (61189) Ben (44596) accidentally killed in 1945, and Syd (61190).

      He left New Zealand with the 6th Reinforcements. He spent more than three years on active service, participating with an anti-aircraft unit in the Libyan and Italian campaigns. AWMM
