  • Alan Dale was the son of Daniel Dale and of Victoria Dale (nee Gillions), of Linton, Wellington, New Zealand.

    Alan Dale stayed with Mr John Muirhead in New Glasgow for a week in March 1941. At the time there were 55 New Zealand Airmen stationed at the nearby training camp in Debert, Nova Scotia awaiting transfer to England. The local community hosted them. AWMM
