  • Stewart Ritchie suffered from bronchial asthma as a result of being a prisoner of war.

    As far as the family knows, Stewart Ritchie had had enough of the war when he was liberated from the Prisoner of war camp and therefore did not apply for his war medals. The family think he was entitled to the Defence Medal, NZ War Service Medal, Africa Star & 1939-45 Star. AWMM
