    • Private F. L. Alley (mentioned above) is the younger son of Mrs E Alley, of Victoria. Township, who has received cabled advice that he has again been admitted into hospital in England. This is the fourth occasion on which Pte. Alley has been in hospital. In a letter dated October last he mentioned that :he was then convalescing in England, after recovering from wounds received at Messines.     • Mr. and Mrs. .1. Alley, of Victoria Township have been advised that their son, Private Francis Ligouri Alley, has died of septicemia at the Second General Hospital, Codford. Deceased left Gisborne with the Twelfth Reinforcements, and had seen considerable service in France with both the machine gun section and infantry. He was an old High School boy, and at the time of his enlistment was employed in Messrs Mackay, Logan and Co.'s warehouse.
