    • George Arlidge was the son of George Walter Arlidge and Jean Arlidge (nee Nielson) of Sutton Coldfield, Warwickshire, England. He was the husband of Alma Winifred Arlidge (nee Summers) of Palmerston North. AWMM
    • George Watson Arlidge was the first child of the above and was born in England while his father was still a member of the WW1 "Dinks". After George senior was demobilised he returned to New Zealand with his wife and child. George (known as Dinky) Watson Arlidge grew up in Palmerston North, the eldest of six brothers.
