  • In memory of my Great Uncle William Butler who was killed in action at only 22 years of age. His brother Joseph Bernard also died, gassed in the pipes at Mangahao Dam, Shannon, during construction at age 22. What a waste of young life. Both sons of William and Mary Butler of Shannon. You are remembered here. You are not forgotten. I still tend your grave. Lest we Forget. RIP
