    • Pilot Officer Boyes was the son of William Harley Boyes and Beatrice Boyes of Invercargill and the husband of Lorna Boyes of Dunedin.

      He died at Wellington Public Hospital, having been admitted after suddenly taking ill while travelling by train from Rotorua to Wellington. AWMM
