      Ivan's daughter was born in Nelson on 1 February 1941 the day of his embarkation. AWMM
    • Son of James King Peirce and Laura Frances Wakefield, Ivan was born in Cambridge on 31 January 1914 and named Ivan Arthur King Peirce. James died 29 Nov 1916 and Laura 22 Nov 1918. Ivan was then adopted by his maternal Aunt Ellen Wakefield and her husband Forest Young. They added their surname to his birth name. Public - Robyn - Direct descendant - 26 February 2016 - Original birth certificate issued 20 March 1914 and adoptive birth certificate issued 31 Jul 1920.
