  • Private Calder was the son of George S. Calder and the late Helen Calder; husband of Clarice W. Calder, of 4, William St., Petone, Wellington, New Zealand. Born at Caithness. Scotland

    John Calder came to New Zealand with his Grandfather in 1906. He married Clarice Wilhemlina nee Watson 1 March 1916. Their daughter Beatrice Ellen was born 16 June 1916; another daughter was born 23 July 1917 whilst John was at war. AWMM
