  • George Brown was the son of Thomas John and Agnes Johnston Brown, of Lower Hutt, Wellington, New Zealand.

    Plane suffered engine failure and all crew ditched into the sea. Three survivors were picked up by a trawler, but a further two crew were presumed drowned.
