    • His older brother Robert Ramsay served in the Army and was stationed in Egypt at the time of both his brother's deaths. Their father George Brown requested that Bob be repatriated to New Zealand so he returned home to Carterton, in December 1944 to his wife Marion and nearly 4 year old son Brian.
