  • Raymond Wilson was the son of Thomas and Susan Yeoman Wilson, of Petone; husband of Marie Thelma Wilson, of Lower Hutt, New Zealand.

    An article appeared in the Western Leader on 19 February 2013 about the accident in which Pilot Officer Charles Smith died. Mention is also made of Pilot Officers Raymond Wilson and Charles Richardson who were killed in an air accident in Canterbury about the same time.
