  • Son of Gerald Beamish White and Keitha Owen White

    Attended King's College, where he was attached to St John's House 1934-37. He had been a champion gymnast while at both King's School and later the college.

    He trained as a pilot in the RNZAF, and in the UK and took part in the first 1000- bomber raids on German industry.
