  • I am the daughter of Doreen who is William John Christian's sister. Doreen had a special place in her heart for her brother, she worked in his "London Pie Shop" in Wanganui before the war. She had two other brothers who went to WW2, they were Jimmy and Syd. They returned home but have since passed away. Mum is 93 now, and still tells stories of her special years with Uncle Bill (William) When myself and my family were on a trip around Europe many years ago we went to Forli in Italy to visit Uncle Bill's grave, it was in a beautiful area and kept beautifully. Photos and the story of this visit was special as we were the first family to visit. Uncle Bill had a daughter Kaye, she lives in Australia.
