  • Claude Congdon is my great-great uncle and he died in Crete - one day I would like to go and visit his grave like my mum & dad did.

  • Thank you for fighting in WW2 Uncle Claude.

    Report
  • I never met my uncle Claude but through my growing up years felt a very strong connection to him through my father and grandmother. My daughter has visited the field of remembrance in Suda Bay Crete, which was a very poignant moment for my father who was still alive then and myself. Until the day my father died one of the few photographs he kept at his bedside was of my daughter laying flowers beside Claude's cross.
