    The entrance to New Plymouth Boys' High School commemorates those Old Boys who were killed or died of wounds in World War 1.

    Ordained minister of Baptist Church; enlisted as a private soldier.
    War service: Western Front
    Embarked Wellington, 22 November 1917; disembarked Liverpool, England, 7 January 1918.
    Proceeded overseas to France, 20 March 1918; marched in to New Zealand General Base Depot, Etaples, 24 March 1918.
    Marched in to No 1 New Zealand Entrenching Bn, 26 March 1918.
    Transferred to 1st Bn, Wellington Regiment, and posted to 7 Company, in the field, 5 April 1918.
    Killed in action, nr Bancourt, France, 30 August 1918.
