  • Robert Ashworth went to Otago Boys High School. He was the navigator in a Lancaster bomber which was shot down with no survivors. Most of the crew bailed out but were too low allow their parachutes to deploy. Robert stayed with the pilot and was killed on impact. He was my Grandfathers brother.
