    • Jack Croudis was the son of Robert George and Olive May Croudis, of Fielding; husband of Edna Jean Croudis (Jean) nee Matterson of 35 Government Flats, Berhampore, Wellington.

      Attended Waipawa District High School, and Hutt Valley High School.

      Representative Hutt valley table tennis player; champion of Petone Tennis Club and member of Petone Rugby Club.

      Before enlisting he was working at the Head Office, New Zealand Railways, Wellington

      Jack and Edna were engaged in 1940 and married at St Peter's Church, Wellington on 31 July 1941.
