    • Ventry's brother Flight Sergeant Terrence WATTERS, No. NZ417299, RNZAF, 75 (NZ) Squadron, RAF was the navigator aboard Stirling III EH938 which was attacked by a night fighter and crashed at Lommel, Belgium on 31 August 1943 killing all the crew except for Air Bomber Val Johnson who had successfully parachuted to safety.
