  • I found Leslie James Waterhouse from a random crash research I did and I found his story tragic. I am only 12 but I feel very respectful to the brave men and women of bomber command so as a respect to him I dug deeper to Leslie and gave my findings to this website. I Shall also visit his memorial in Runnymede and pay my respects.

    Lest we forget
    Public - Dom - Researcher - 23 May 2019
  • Each year the Maungakaramea Community remembers Leslie by placing a cross for him in front of the monument to their fallen soldiers, reading his name out and a local child placing a flower on his cross, at our ANZAC service.
    Public - Julie - 24 April 2017
