    • Warrant Officer Ronald G. Dawson and his Navigator Charles Childs enlisted together - on the same day - for RNZAF air war service in New Zealand. They also trained together at the OTU (Overseas Training Unit).

      Served RAF 141 Squadron at RAF West Raynham, Norfolk.

      On 18-19 April 1945 Warrant Officer Dawson and his Navigator Flying Officer (Navigator) left their RAF Base at West Raynham in Norfolk, England - for an air mission over Munich. Their Mosquito NF.XXX NT490 TW-R was shot down near Neubiberg, Germany. Both airmen were killed and they are buried at Durnbach Cemetery, Germany.
