    • David Dickie was the son of David and Mary Dickie, of Lower Hutt, Wellington, New Zealand. AWMM
    • Reason for aircraft and air-crew loss :

      15-16 June 1941 - Pilot Officer David Gray Dickie RNZAF # 43029 - who served with 106 Squadron RAF took off - at 23:00 hours with his Air-Crew from their 106 Squadron RAF Base at Coningsby, Lincolnshire, United Kingdom to join 90 other RAF aircraft for a bombing mission to Cologne, Germany.

      Pilot Officer Dickie's aircraft - Hampden 1 AD863 - did not return from this mission. This was the only aircraft not to return from this Air Operation and the aircraft was lost - with all crew - without trace. Public - Jenifer - Researcher - 24 May 2019 - Reference : www.aircrewremembered.com (England).
    • Pilot Officer Dickie's fellow air-crew were -

      1. Observer Sergeant Albert Leslie Glaves RAFVR # 973029 (aged 25) - Missing believed killed.
      2. Wireless Operator/Air Gunner Sergeant Peter Somers RAF # 550679 (aged 23) - Missing believed killed.
      3. Wireless Operator/Air Gunner Sergeant Edward Ralph Hall RAFVR # 749477 (aged 21 years) - Missing believed killed.
