  • Derek Dixon was the son of Lionel Marmaduke and Dorothy Eleanor Dixon, of Lower Hutt, Wellington, New Zealand.

    Attended King's College 1935-38 where he was a member of Parnell House. He played rugby and cricket for the school.

    He trained as a pilot in the RNZAF. In Britain he became a spitfire pilot and was killed on operational flying with his final training unit. AWMM
