    Report
  • Mr Dobbin was the husband of my great aunt, Marjorie Dobbin. I have very fond memories of Auntie Marj, as we called her, but never met Mr Dobbin as he died in the war. Auntie Marj also passed several years ago. As children, my mother told us they were married for one week before he left for the war. She never remarried but worked her entire life as a teacher, remembering all her students by their first names. I would have liked to meet him, and remember him on Anzac Day, today, for his bravery and courage in fighting for peace and freedom.
