  • My mother Isla May Glass nee Donnelly was one of his sisters from a family of 15. It was always an emotional time on Anzac Day. Mum would tell me how very sad it was when he left Invercargill for the last time to go to war. She last saw him at the railway station as he left. Fortunately his brothers Bill and Frank made it back and I was fortunate to get to know them well throughout their lives. We will remember them
