    Sergeant Lincoln John Ellmers, killed on active service. His brother is Mr. G. F. Ellmers, Gisborne
    Sergeant-Pilot Lincoln John Ellmers, formerly of Gisborne, was a single man, 24 years of age, and had been flying with the Royal Air Force since last year. He trained in New Zealand and was sent direct to the United Kingdom, where he qualified as a fighter pilot. Latterly he had been engaged in night-flying.
