  • Son of Henry and Amy Butler Easterbrook, of Auckland City, New Zealand.

    Easterbrook worked on the family farm at Whareora before enlisting. He was held in the highest regards by the settlers of Whareora and by all who knew him.

    He left NZ with the third echelon and had served in the Greek and two Libyan campaigns.

    He was killed when an enemy anti-tank shell hit the Bren carrier in which he was riding in the desert. AWMM
