  • Bernard Evans was the son of Harry and Daisy Evans, of Mount Eden, Auckland, New Zealand.

    Attended Takapuna School.

    Well known sportsman, rugby player, cyclist and surfer. He played first grade rugby for the Takapuna Club.

    A remembrance service is held each Armistice in the village Ashmanhaugh.

    Remembered on the Takapuna War Memorial, The Strand, Takapuna.
