  • Private Vellenoweth was the son of Henry and Mary Ellen Vellenoweth; husband of Rosena Kathleen Vellenoweth, of Paddington, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

    Came to New Zealand, after a period in Australia, in May, 1926.

    The Auckland Museum Library's manuscripts collection holds letters and photographs relating to Vellenoweth's war service. [Ref. MS 2010/19]

    Originally interred in Wolfsberg Cemetery, Grave 79 then reinterred at Klagenfurt War Cemetery AWMM
