  • Hello I am the baby born 2nd February 1942 who was in her pram when the Hampden bomber hit my parents farmhouse. My mother saw the plane coming towards her and I am told I was saved by a strong sturdy pram. My father found the body of Sidney in his potato field. We have left many flowers and wreaths on his grave and we have had many tears over this whole tragic happening. I visited New Zealand a few years ago and tried to look up the records and lay a flower in his memory.
