    • Son of Alfred Augustus Fooks and of Adele Catherine Fooks, of Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand.

      Two sons, brothers Ernest Berjeu Fooks (RNZVR 146328), and Harry Gordon Compton Fooks (RNZAF NZ40966) were killed in WW2. They are both buried in the Brookwood Military Cemetery.

      Remembered on the Ashburton War Memorial.

      Next of kin details compiled from information in the Casualty lists published in the newspapers. AWMM
    • Both Ernest Berjeu Fooks & Harry Gordon Compton Fooks are my great uncles Ernest was born in Ashburton NZ on 28th March 1911 & Harry Born in Ashburton NZ on 2nd July 1918.
      My Father was their Brother Alfred Charles Lindsay Fooks a Fore Leader in Geothermal Power in NZ. Public - Christopher - Other relative - 20 August 2019 - Oral Family history & military history.
