    • Alexander Fowler was the son of Robert Bruce Fowler and Margaret Fowler, of Middlemarch, Otago, New Zealand.

      Lost on his 4th operation with 487 Squadron , but Fowler had also flown 7 operations with 214 Squadron and 14 operations with 161 Squadron, RAF.

      On his last mission he was the Navigator

    • The above information is pretty close, but not exactly correct. AJ Fowler flew 9 operations with 214 Squadron, and 13 with 161 Squadron. He completed 4 operations with 487 Squadron, and was lost on his 5th. This information is taken from his logbook, where all operations are listed. He was a navigator all the way through.
