      Husband of Paulette Antoinette Gardiner of Brightwater, Nelson.

    • Kenneth Fred Gardiner was Heather's uncle. He married Paulette Antoinette Lupien in Canada before heading off to the UK where he was killed on operations on 9th November 1942. Paulette came to New Zealand with their daughter, Patricia Carol, in 1943 and subsequently married Ken's brother, Victor James Gardiner (b. 12 Nov 1918) who was invalided home in 1943 after being badly wounded at Azizia, Libya on 22nd Jan 1943 - the day before the Allies took Tripoli 25 miles to the north of Azizia.
