    • Harold Garland was the son of Dr. Albert Isaac Garland, and of Margaret Jenny Garland (nee Hassell), of Oamaru, Otago, New Zealand; husband of Juanita (Nita) Ida Henrietta Garland, of Papatoetoe, Auckland.

      Father of 2 sons and 2 daughters.

      Son of Albert Isaac Garland and Margaret Jane Garland.

      Two sons, brothers Hassell George De Forges Garland (7/1233) and Harold Lloyd De Forges Garland (60348) served in WW1.

      In WW2 one son was a POW, Thomas Harold de Forges Garland (23627) served with the Armoured Brigade, and daughter Meg Garland (809046) served as a WAAC.

      Remembered on the Takapuna War Memorial, The Strand, Takapuna.
