  • James Third was the son of William Third, and of Mary Anne Third (nee Noble), of Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire.

    He was the air bomber in a Stirling bomber which crashed near Berlin while on a raid on Berlin, killing all on board except the mid-upper gunner who was taken prisoner. AWMM
