  • Douglas Chamberlain was the son of Waldo Hill Chamberlain and Bertha Chamberlain, of 105, Prince's St., Hastings, Napier, New Zealand.

    Embarked Wellington, 16 July 1917; disembarked Liverpool, England, 16 September 1917.
    Wounded in action, 1 November 1918 (gas), and admitted to 5th Field Ambulance, 2 November 1918; transferred same day to 38th Casualty Clearing Station; to No 1 Australian General Hospital, 3 November 1918.
    Died of wounds, 7.35 pm, 5 November 1918 (gas and broncho-pneumonia).
